    Fender 75th Anniversary Collection Basses

The 75th Anniversary alder/rosewood Daphne Blue with mint green pickguard is to die for. Don't you think so?

    The Always On Pedalboard Club

This is my always-on pedal. Every bass sounds incredible through this compressor—rich, full, and punchy. It adds so much warmth and thickness to the tone that I simply can't imagine playing without it:

    R.I.P. Glen Hansard

An extraordinary composer and, judging by the sensitivity reflected in his work, I suspect an equally extraordinary person. A truly heartbreaking loss. 😢

    NBD. 75th Anniversary P Bass

Congratulations to everyone who picked one up! I’ve joined the club too, although I gave mine a more vintage look with a different "outfit" and added a pickup cover to give it a more classic, traditional appearance:

    What is Sting's Greatest Song?

Sting is an absolute genius, one of the key figures of the last third of the 20th century. You’ve already mentioned dozens of his huge songs, so here are a couple that might not be in his top tier but that I personally love:

Opto compressor to pair with Cali76?

I’ve owned dozens of compressors. I sold them all and only kept this one: https://thorpyfx.com/products/the-fat-general-parallel-compressor-copy Punchy and warmth in both modes (parallel and juicy). I love it, it’s my always-on pedal.

Seen on Reverb: https://reverb.com/item/94673762-marcus-miller-sire-p7-4-fretless-swamp-ash-2nd-gen-4-string-fretless-electric-bass I find it unbelievable that something like this comes off an assembly line it reminds me of the Mazinger Z TV series I used to watch as a kid :roflmao:

    Which Sire MM to buy - P5, D5, or 2nd gen P7?

I also have this Dakota Red (P5 body, but with a P5R neck and pickup): The P5R and P7 are my favorite basses in Sire’s entire catalog.

    Which Sire MM to buy - P5, D5, or 2nd gen P7?

That's great mate. Don't forget to play "Barbarism Begins at Home" with your new toy :D

    Which Sire MM to buy - P5, D5, or 2nd gen P7?

I think the P5R is the best choice in your case. No need to upgrade the pickup, the new Fat Precision Revolution is excellent. Here’s how mine looks with cream pickup covers: (61mm width at the 12th fret)

NBD- Sire Marcus Miller V7 Redburst Sparkle

Sorry mate, I missed your message. Yes, the frets are smaller, like on the regular V7 Vintage.
