Show me your pedalboard

After tons of changes, this is my (finally) finished pedalboard.

New upright bass pedalboard.

Bridge and fingerboard piezos > EBS Stanley Clarke preamp.

Using the parallel FX loop > Rothwell Love Squeeze Compressor @ 18v> Nocturne Atomic Brain @ 12v > MXR Bass Octave > Crowther Audiop Prunes & Custard Harmonic Generator-Intermodulator > Dunlop 105Q Wah > Ernie Ball Stereo Volume Pedal.

I put this together this morning for a new project I might be doing. Took a little bit to get the gain staging just right and it’s essentially only 3 effects, but I’ve been having fun with it.

Using the volume pedal in the parallel fx loop has a couple good points.

Firstly, I can essentially bypass the effects and my bass still sounds fairly natural because the compression is really only in the fx loop, and secondly I can swell in the effects without losing any low end.

I’ve been playing with it all morning and really having some fun with it.

I have been in a guitar mood throughout June. Last week I finally put away germanium fuzzes for the summer.

Before doing so, I indulged in an extended new amp day: with 1950 Electromuse A46 1x12 made by Valco.

The B15 I scored in April got me thinking I want a fully-octal type tube amp for guitar to mess with as a similar studio darling. Something low power, running a larger driver where I can easily manipulate preamp, power amp, and speaker distortion at manageable levels.

DC-2 is often used in stereo paired with the pictured TT plus 2x10/G10 golds. Eventually I’ll try adding in my bass board just because it’s right there.
It’s also in the “compact pedalboard” thread despite being larger than my guitar board here. Odd indeed.

For now 4 pedals (plus tuner) are keeping me satisfied without reverb or delay, a small miracle in of itself. Both cabs are open and I get a lil slap back from the wall and corner.

The next logical revision, evolution is a wet/dry/wet rig and I already have everything needed to make it happen!

It was always going to come to this…

New pedalboard for the upright. 😆

Made a smaller one a few weeks ago, but I really wanted to add a few things that didn’t fit.

Remembered I had this Terra 42 in the basement, and spent most of yesterday and this morning trying different toys in different spots in the signal chain.

Still need to secure cables, but it works well and isn’t too crowded.

Signal chain as follows:

EBS Stanley Clarke preamp parallel FX loop send>Nocturne Bass Brain V3(Roland RE-301 preamp)>Rothwell Love Squeeze Compressor (set roughly 4:1)>MXR Bass Octave>Panda MIDI Future Impact>Prunes&Custard>Experimentalists Anonymous Parallel Universe (gated fuzz/oscillation/glitch)>Dunlop 105Q bass Wah>Boss CEB-3 chorus>EB Stereo Volume>Eventide H9Max>Nocturne Jr. Barnyard (octal tube preamp)> EBS SC pre return.

Really digging your UPRIGHT boards, my brother-from-another-mother, there oughta be more of us FX&Upright players — alas, the universe as we know it may not be able to handle that much awesomeness and would probably implode into a Bass-Clef-Black-Hole.
