I have some questions about it. First off, can i run it passive? and second does it hum cancel when soloed or does it have annoying 60-cycle?

could i do one of these that was straight passive? i.e. no preamp? and how would a combo of a bart 8s and a bart MMk sound with no preamp? how would it compare to a nordstrand NP4 and a nordstrand 4.2 or a 4.4? I want to get a vintage almost motown sound from the p and a little more modern...

So im pondering a build that would have some sort of P-pup in the usual spot and a Rio Grande Pitbull in the bridge. does anyone know if: a. a pitbull would be a good pairing with pbass? b. what a pitbull sounds like? or c. what would be the best choice for my P pup in this combo. are RG P's...
