If you want absolute value for money, the Zoom B3n will suit. If you want the next step up, look at the Helix range, starting with the HX Stomp (amazing bang-for-buck even at the higher price range) all the way up to the rackmount version, but that gets expensive fast.

It depends what you're looking at. If you want just effects, then the M13 is probably your best bet, however, if you want a fully functioning all-in-one (i.e., with amp sims/modelling along with FX) then you need to look at the Zooms (b2.1u & b9.1ut) or the Line 6 X3 Live. Of course you can...

Just a quick update, using the MIDI editor software, you can now see an EQ curve as you edit it, which is a great feature, just a shame it isnt present on the display.

On the B2, if you are on any patch, turn the play/edit knob to "Control", then using knob 3 (the right most knob), change the volume of the whole unit. This setting is always stored (I always double tap the store button just to make sure). This is different from being in play mode and twisting...

I'm afraid this function is missing. It was one of the best features of the older Zoom pedals and I can't for the life of me figure out why it was omitted. I miss it.

I plan to have this setup (Bass > Zoom b9.1ut > FOH + power amp/cab onstage). To keep 'my tone' wherever I go as best as possible.

I agree that a curve would have been amazing, perhaps it'll be on a future model.

I looked at both and ended up with a Spector, much better bass all round.

Perhaps chuck in a compressor in there for good measure. Recommend either the Demeter or the BBE
