    Best multi effects bass unit

If you want absolute value for money, the Zoom B3n will suit. If you want the next step up, look at the Helix range, starting with the HX Stomp (amazing bang-for-buck even at the higher price range) all the way up to the rackmount version, but that gets expensive fast.

Request Jason Aldean - Lights Come On

Hey all. I've just started listening to some country music (I'm from the UK so I don't think it's a huge over here as it is in the US) and I've discovered Tully Kennedy and he seems like a really amazing player, with great tone and bass lines. I've been trying to work out Lights Come On, but...

    current multi effect pedals

It depends what you're looking at. If you want just effects, then the M13 is probably your best bet, however, if you want a fully functioning all-in-one (i.e., with amp sims/modelling along with FX) then you need to look at the Zooms (b2.1u & b9.1ut) or the Line 6 X3 Live. Of course you can...

    Zoom B9.1ut

Just a quick update, using the MIDI editor software, you can now see an EQ curve as you edit it, which is a great feature, just a shame it isnt present on the display.

    Stuck between two pedals.

Line6 Pod X3 Live and Zoom b9.1ut *sigh* I like the look and features of both these units but even with a list of pros and cons I can't seem to decide. Zoom b9.1ut Pros Cheaper - around £279 Z pedal - effectively two pedals in one for controlling effects Tube - could sound a lot smoother...

Complaints about xlr on Zoom B2.1u?

On the B2, if you are on any patch, turn the play/edit knob to "Control", then using knob 3 (the right most knob), change the volume of the whole unit. This setting is always stored (I always double tap the store button just to make sure). This is different from being in play mode and twisting...

    Show your amps! Part 2

What is it you don't like about the X3? This looks like my ideal rig (although I'll probably get a X3 Live and go for just a power amp in a rack.)

    Zoom B2/B2.1u Patch Selection Question...

I'm afraid this function is missing. It was one of the best features of the older Zoom pedals and I can't for the life of me figure out why it was omitted. I miss it.

Post your pedalboard XIV; time for a VII and VII!

That looks like my perfect set up! :smug::cool:

Anyone use effects/stompboxes for "their sound", then run to house/power amp?

I plan to have this setup (Bass > Zoom b9.1ut > FOH + power amp/cab onstage). To keep 'my tone' wherever I go as best as possible.

    Zoom B9.1ut

I agree that a curve would have been amazing, perhaps it'll be on a future model.

    Zoom B9.1ut

Did you have any luck with Zoom about being able to use the USB for the software? Hoping to pick one of these up soon (I have a b2.1u atm) and I thank you for the review. I've just had a read through the manual, and the EQ seems very flexible (you can actually shift the frequencies...

    Spector legend vs Rockbass

I looked at both and ended up with a Spector, much better bass all round.

    good start to a pedalboard...

Perhaps chuck in a compressor in there for good measure. Recommend either the Demeter or the BBE

    Initial Impressions + Mini-Review: Line 6 M13 multi-effects unit

Thanks for the quick reply, sounds awesome. Now to save up for one. (After I've saved up for my BBE OptoStomp). Ah the joys of being a poor student :crying:
