It is not officially called Peacock. Stuart calls it blue over black. In person it has a more green hue to it, almost a turquoise quality.

OK, I will play. This is the most recent NS5XL I have. I have to admit, I love the Hazlab in my other Spectors, but this beast sounds amazing.

That bass, as long as it is a true NS-2 and not an NS-2a, should already have the Hazlab pre in it unless it has been replaced. I own 3 Kramer era Spectors and that pre is one of the reasons I love them so much. If it is not the original, then yes, I would talk to Spector about a Hazlab.

+1 for satin, Gloss reminds me of an old Peavey T40 bass I had in the day that my hand constantly stuck on the neck when I started sweating.

Absolute best basses for the buck made in my opinion. I have quite a few of them and they have become an integral part of my sound.

Hi Freddels, I will assume you mean 2009 for the Bass Fest since 2008's has passed. I do not think that Jim has final dates yet although I could be wrong, perhaps Todd knows. I can find out though and post them if they are set. Cheers! Kurt
