Spector Club Pt. 3 (Insert Clever Title Here)

Some other things I've done as this type of thing (string set not near perfectly center on a fretboard) bugs the hell out of me too:
Spectors: 1. Sometimes the bridge saddles are cut/slotted off center. On your bass, if they are cut/slotted more towards your G string (narrower) side...flip them around (turn each saddle 180 degrees) so the cut is more towards your E string (wider) side. They are symetrical and thus, reversable.
2. There is usually a little play in the bridge hole/slot. Take the bridge completely out. Cut a small strip off the end of plastic (like a credit card) card and slip it in (in your case) on the G string side of the bridge when you put it back in and re-mount it. This is often enough to move the bridge over sufficiently to solve your problem.
3. One final thing would be to put a thinner shim (sometimes just some folded paper is enough) in on the lower, E string side of (your bass') neck pocket. This would change the angle of the mounted neck just enough to swing the strings back over too the bass side a bit.

Thanks for chipping in. I really don't think its the bridge. The markers get more and more centered as you go towards the bridge. If I make adjustments at the bridge, it may "center" the markers near the nut, but throw off the ones near the bridge. If I could pivot the neck at the pocket slightly than I believe everything would be cool, but the damn pocket is tight, no shims will fit (first thing I tried). Anyone know a luthier in Gainesville/Ocala (Florida)?

Ok guys. If I had the money, I would be all over this since I had to sell mine. I've been in a real funk since I don't have one anymore and I'd be all over this like ugly on an ape!

If anyone is near GC in Hallendale, FL or if anyone wants to contact the store, you'd better jump on this if it's in good condition. It's a used SSD for $279!!!

Basically I love the bass from a sheer playability aspect but I find the sound a bit 'one-dimesional' and compressed.

Might be nice to have something with a 3 band eq option but not sure if there's a way to do this without drilling nasty holes!

You have a nice looking bass my friend! And it looks like it would be a great player. If I were you, I would simply find a nice pre-amp or pre-pedal like SansAmp and leave the bass alone.

My 2 sense (cents). ;)

If the truss rod comes out as easy as it does ony my Korean NS2A import I wouldn't be scared to replace it. I saw my repair guy do it on mine when I thought I has some stripped threads on it and I couldn't believe how easy it was to get out of there. Turned out mine was a problem with the nut on truss rod and he found me another one. If you can find out the exact model and how much a replacement rod is from Spector this could be a really good deal.

Praise Jeepus! I can't tell you how much I dig that! I take it you left the neck natural? I was never a big fan of the gloss on the neck but I love the white body with the stripes. Send that to Spector. That should be an option on all colored NS bodies.
