Me and my bad ass Dean ZBX.

My ZBX is the same size as the Z tour and it fits perfectly in the Metalman case. Anyhow...doesn't matter, I'm just happy to see another Dean owner that stands by the explorer shape. Please tell me...why 2 of the same basses?:)

That's a pretty cool set of guitars. The 80's were great and the Heavy Metal of the time got me into playing bass. That's why 2 of my 3 basses today are of the classic 80's look...the "Explorer" and the "Warlock". [Invalid or Expired Link Removed]

You're never going to take your bass or guitar out of a bag or case and it's still in perfect tune. I suggest you get a hard case for your bass. Gig bags are crap (compared to a hard case), no matter which one you get. We play expensive and fragile instruments, you want to have the best...

Dude, how can you have a bass amp next to a rack of wine glasses! You must have incredible restraint on that volume knob! You are right, I don't turn it up loud when I play in the house, when it's nice out, I put the amp outside.

You should also check out Dean basses. My ZBX feels great and I get no neck dive at all. Look into a new strap as well, I use the Planet Waves 3" tubular strap. Its comfortable and doesn't cut into your neck like some others do. Two of my three basses are pretty heavy and I can play for hours...

When you get it, just make sure that the neck is strait, the bridge is in good working order. Looks like a cool bass, clean it up put some new strings on and get new knobs. Open the back cover and make sure all the wiring is in good condition. Good luck with it. I too just picked up a 5...
