I haven’t played an Ibanez since my old TR back in high school, these have me a little interested. I like the headstock, but just not a fan of the look of it in a 3+3 tuner configuration on the six string. I could just pull a Mononeon and cover it with a sock I guess!

I haven’t been able to compare the two yet, but have only read that the powerhouse line was voiced more mid forward than the Subways. Is that pretty accurate? I do seem to like more aggressive midrange tone in my current band setup.

I am still on the fence as to which SW cab to pair with the 800, but I found this guy used at Sweetwater and couldn’t pass it up for the price and it was nearly in new condition. Yet to gig it, but I don’t think I’ll be disappointed.

I would definitely agree with the Lakland suggestions. I love the tones I can get out of it as well. Both of these have the best B strings out of all of the other 5’s and 6’s I own.

I don’t know how they determine what ships from which warehouse unless it simply has to do with where they have it stocked. However, I ordered a Helix and an Aguilar SL112 and they both shipped from Arizona, even though they had the Aguilar cab in stock at Fort Wayne, so your guess is as good...

I’m not always a fan of gold hardware, but I think it would work with that blue. Can’t go wrong with chrome either, it’s a cool looking bass either way!

Is the hardware gold, or is that just a reflection of the overhead lighting?

I used to think it was my 35" scale length Lakland until I got a 37" scale Dingwall. Very clear for a low B string to my ear.
