New Ibanez Mode series

A few models of this current Mode series have reinforced necks and the price of them is not very different from rest ones.I hoped at least one of the four string basses to have one but there is none.This not a big problem because Ibanez bass necks are very stable IMO.
I think Ibanez like other manufacturers go "vintage" to be modern but in Japanese way of vision.I am going to look forward to hear six strings Mode reviewed

These necks are the single biggest departure from the classic Ibanez necks that I see on this new line. They look much more like Sire necks. They aren't thin, they aren't multi-part, they aren't reinforced. The headstock looks like Sire. I think this is one area they saved $$$ in order to keep the price down. On the other hand, I do like their fingerboard woods, possibly more than the panga on my SR1350B?

Everything about these basses makes them the equivalent of the AZ guitar line. Same headstock and neck joint, and what I would call "modern vintage" neck specs. It's really not that controversial.

I haven’t played an Ibanez since my old TR back in high school, these have me a little interested. I like the headstock, but just not a fan of the look of it in a 3+3 tuner configuration on the six string. I could just pull a Mononeon and cover it with a sock I guess!

These look cool, very Grooveline coded. I have Groove 106. I personally would like to try the 4 string with the Rosewood and the 5 string with the Roasted Maple. I am not sure how the custom version would fair. If I could try it in the wild that would be fun, but I doubt those will be widely available
I do think this has some Sadowsky influence as well. I think this is good thing in general and I say that with the caveat of the fit and finish as they get shipped out, because demo models for social media are usually the cream of the crop. All that to say, I think for a college musician to the working musician this is a great bass for the price.

I read one anon random YT commenter dig at the low B, but I'm not hearing it. It sounds solid to me. I am definitely going to play one of these. They put so many good features on it, including the lumenlay dots, the ramp, the 24 frets, sub 9 pounds for a 5... I think boutique designers have finally pushed the mass produced brands to step their game up and this is what we are seeing with a model like this.

The knobs are so simply laid out too. It's mindless to just leave the Eq side flat and focus on the first 3 traditional J style knobs, but I guess people always need to complain about something.

I wasn't crazy about the low B in the TheBassChannel video (I generally dont like their tone in demos), but I liked it everywhere else.

Hopefully those 1305s come in around sub 9lbs as well.

I love the knob layout. Super logical and simple to me.

I would've liked to see neck reinforcement at this price as others have mentioned, but its not a major deal to me.

Most bass channels are just ads nowadays. But still nice to hear the bass

Gregor played in his very early videos and is totally capable just not flashy. I think he just prefers working with people with higher levels of skill
