I have the G50 and I think it's fantastic. It's painful to spend that much money, but I've been playing for about 18 months now and it's been well worth it. It's great to go hang with the crowd once in a while, plus you can hear what you sound like to the crowd.

I didn't read every reply, so maybe this was already addressed. Was the cabinet on the floor? Try putting it on a chair. And stand a few feet in front of it. If it was on the floor and you were too close to it, it's possible that all the sound went right past you (and your ears) and made it...

Have you given the string a good hard stretch? Also, are you sure the string is moving freely in the bridge? I had to file my Corvette 5 string bridge to get a new flatwound in there (silk ends got in the way). If you didn't file away enough, it might not be moving freely in the bridge.

I'd say that if they're there from start to finish...loading the gear, setting up, doing the show, breaking down, and dropping the gear off...they should get as much as everyone else. If show up at the start of the show, sing, and leave, then I'd say they get less than everyone else.

I play whatever the BL comes up with. And he comes up with some horrible songs like Bon Jovi, Rick Springfield, etc. But, as long as I'm getting paid at the end of the night...bring it on.
