so, what exactly is this? A bunch of my fellow bassists hanging? can someone give me some more info on what this is? sounds like it could be cool (especially if its on Long Island since its where I live)

I need to know what's happening as I have an option on a pretty reasonably priced flight (although it would mean me flying via Zurich).
Last time I contacted him he was in Disneywrold and said he'd get back to me on his return. I guess I can text or FB him.

That's the only reference to a location; I had no trouble Google'ing Plattdeutsche Park for an exact location. Little bit due north of JFK.
Mind you - _everything_ in this thread has been nothing but speculation. Evidently no one has heard from 'the guy' who's supposedly organizing - something... There have been no specifics confirmed on where or when.
It's a daytrip for me so I'm pretty flexible, unlike some of the guys looking at booking transAtlantic travel... Still - there's no real confirmation it's even happening...

I spoke to John last evening and he did confirm we are a go this year and he will be posting the official first posting soon.
He asked me to pick him up at the airport late Sunday, so I will convince him to post one way or another.
