Stoner/Doom Bassists Thread, Part 90: Maxed Out

Haven't been here for ages! And the first thing I do is shameless self promotion! My band just recorded an album that is soon to be released. I hope some of you dig it! I love my basstone on it, gnarly! Solarbarque | Facebook Feel free to check it out! In return I'll be checking this...

    Mayones Jabba Bass

I played a few of them at the music store in Cologne. They tend to be more on the 70s side of Jazz Basses. Very nice instruments but quite modern in sound.

traded my Squier VM Jazzbass for a Yamaha BB424x omg I love that bass! Playing only the P PU is sooo gnarly! It has a lot more bite than my Fender P but is more variable. great bass

    Zoom MS-60B (part 2)

I got rid of my whining by sending the signal through my DI-Box. Just from Input --> Through it is an active Di... it cancels the whining (hum).... I dont know why it works, but I gladly accept it!

    Fuzzrocious Club - Sextuplet

Buying the OSD two years ago definitely cured my GAS for overdrive! I tried a lot but the OSD just kills! The best thing about is that I can dial in a tone that goes along perfectly with my clean tone.

Ryan's OSD is by far the best bassdrive/distortion (whatever) pedal I know!

Stoner/Doom Bassists 51: Back To The Future

Church of Misery rule! The starting point depends on what kind of vocals you dig more... The changed singers for nearly each album. I listen to them for years and the early works compilation and "the second coming" realy grew on me. Their split with Acrimony is also great.

Stoner/Doom Bassists Thread Pt. 45: Rule 34: Handwired Gear Pronz

From a fellow german: check out the crush the button shop from Belgium. it is a bit cheaper than Effektboutique.de The swollen pickle is versatile for a Muff but it is not that handy to have to use the trimpots inside the pedal. The Musketfuzz is also quite nice. I am in the market for a new...

    Official Orange Club II

@basstardus: when you use an 12at7 you will have less overall volume since it is a lower gain tube than the 12ax7 it comes with. It gets more versatile and usable but you sacrifice some volume... I do not want to convince you otherwise, but be aware of it.

Stoner/DOOM Bassists part 35: Colorado Bound

I contributed to the speaker-sim DI subject some threads ago and mentioned that I use a Behringer GI 100 Ultra-G as a cheap solution for livegigs. well there is how it sounds in a live setting with an Orange Terror Bass driven by some Muff and Fuzzrocious OSD. It works pretty well, BAss is...

Thanks for the recommandation, Next weak I will try to work with what I have (the 12au7). I dont need all the gain, I only need some crunch, the rest comes from pedals when needed. A 12at7 is easier and quicker to get for me at the moment, however, I will keep in mind your recommandation!

    Official Orange Club!

I recently swaped the 12ax7 for a 12au7 in the v1 stage of my terror bass. lost a lot of output but the sound itself benefited a lot from it! especially the eq was more usable and the low-end was tighter, but still crushing. I am going to change the 12au7 to v2 or am going to use a 12at7 to...
