i didn't use any tone cap, just pickup outputs straight to 250k pot and output to jack advice: if you are hi-fi, hi-end tone-like you won't like it. Soul, old-school, fat and warm tone lovers will love it!!!

I'm not a big expert but i cannot find the way you have both pickups at center position with this toggle

4th prong is ground it only has 1 circuit (2 in and 1 out / 1 in and 2 out). Toggles with 6 prongs, that's 2 independent circuits, enables you to true bypass what exactly is supposed this toggle to do? switch between 2 pickups? mute?

That's the point Nev! The question was "are Barts good pickups?" Yes they are, clean, warm and versatile

I'm only trying to say that pickups, strings, pots...even the bass itself doesn't make you sound jazz, rock, etc.... it's your technique! Give me a Fodera and it'll sound like crap cause i'm a beginner, give Victor Wooten the cheapest bass in town and will be awesome!

Finally done! I went the easy way and make my cort a5 active just passive: 2 vol pots soldered to output jack, simple, nice, warm and less hi-fi sound!!! I encourage all you are in doubt to try it, you won't be disapointed! Next step? Maybe 2 or 3 band tone stack......
