    Worship Bass Pedalboards

Hey guys. Here's the latest rendition of my pedalboard. I soldered SP400 connectors and mogami cable throughout. I made it as neat and tidy as I could without pulling all my hair out. Super happy with the results from a playability standpoint. I'd love to do custom power cables next, to clean it...

    Ampeg V4B vs SVT3pro

I yanked the black grille cloth and white piping off my 410HLF and matched the vintage looking grille cloth so it matches the head. Looks so sweet!!

    Ampeg V4B vs SVT3pro

I'm using a V4B reissue with an SVT410HLF cabinet, and a passive P bass. It is incredible. I leave every dial pretty much at noon with the mid rocker at 3000hz and dialed up a bit for a mid punch. Volume is between noon and 3 oclock, gain is between 9 and noon(on an average set). The 410HLF...

    Worship Bass Pedalboards

Hi guys! Here's my setup which I use regularly at church. Still adding to the board, hence it being half empty. The CS-3 is always on, as is the Bass Soul Food. I sometimes vary the level of drive, but where you see it is where it stays 90% of the time. The path is pretty self explanatory =...

    Best Gear Purchase in 2017

I completely re-vamped my entire setup, and boy oh boy am I happy.... I picked up a Fender Nate Mendel P, a new Ampeg V-4B, and an Ampeg 410HLF cabinet which I swapped the grille cloth on to match the V-4B. Those 3 items are worth their weight in gold to me!!

    Ampeg decisions

Hi guys, hope you don't mind me chiming in. I purchased a new Ampeg V-4B about 5 weeks back, it has been nothing short of outstanding. I play it daily, I can't get enough of this thing. 100W of all tube power is PLENTY loud to keep up with a very loud band. Especially depending on your...

Switching grill cloth on current Ampeg SVT cabs

Fabulous, thank you. For interests sake, when did Ampeg stop using metal logos? Mine is metal, but I bought the cab used. I suspect it's 8-10 years old?

Switching grill cloth on current Ampeg SVT cabs

Update! Got mine done. Thanks for all your help and advice folks. I ended up having good luck with the electric stapler after all, all it took was 1/4" staples. Worked great. Here's a quick(poor quality..) before and after pic. I've since put the logo back on, but left the small 'Classic' off...

Switching grill cloth on current Ampeg SVT cabs

I found that even when firmly pressing down to eliminate recoil , the staples still didn't go in. They just bunch up and get mangled. Weird.

Switching grill cloth on current Ampeg SVT cabs

The noise won't be an issue for me, as I'm only doing the one grill. The staples were basically folding over...if they even went in slightly I suppose I could gently hammer them in the rest of the way - but they pretty much get destroyed trying to go into the ply. I thought it might be the...

Did you end up using a hand stapler or an electric or pneumatic one?

Switching grill cloth on current Ampeg SVT cabs

Hi folks, hope you're all well. I just joined the group , the amount of info here is outstanding. Sorry to dig up an old thread. I'm embarking on swapping out the grill cloth on my SVT410HLF to this stuff here: Invalid Link Removed , as per johnk_10's recommendations. All of your...
