I completely re-vamped my entire setup, and boy oh boy am I happy.... I picked up a Fender Nate Mendel P, a new Ampeg V-4B, and an Ampeg 410HLF cabinet which I swapped the grille cloth on to match the V-4B. Those 3 items are worth their weight in gold to me!!

Update! Got mine done. Thanks for all your help and advice folks. I ended up having good luck with the electric stapler after all, all it took was 1/4" staples. Worked great. Here's a quick(poor quality..) before and after pic. I've since put the logo back on, but left the small 'Classic' off...

I found that even when firmly pressing down to eliminate recoil , the staples still didn't go in. They just bunch up and get mangled. Weird.

The noise won't be an issue for me, as I'm only doing the one grill. The staples were basically folding over...if they even went in slightly I suppose I could gently hammer them in the rest of the way - but they pretty much get destroyed trying to go into the ply. I thought it might be the...
