Hahaha, yeah I know.
I kept the Broughton SV-Pre/SD EQ pedals on board for a couple reasons. 1. I ran out of blocks on the Stomp to have both an Amp Sim and a separate, footswitchable, Boost (which is what the SD is used for). So with 1 block slot left, I used it as an Effects Loop block and included the two pedals. I will say, however, the SVT-4 amp sim on the Stomp can be really close to the SV-Pre pedal. 2. I was also using this as my non-worship board as well at times. In those scenarios I was running this board in to a Quilter BB800 which doesn't have a traditional preamp EQ section. Truth be told, I could copy this Effects Loop preset to create a second preset and then just eliminate the Effects Loop block replacing it with an SVT-4 block, and voila, EQ for the BB800. But, since the two Broughtons were already on the board for worship, might as well use them for the secondary set up rather than create the second Preset.
Exactly! For some reason folks seem insistent on bass models but I have found "guitar" models, both amp and cabinet, that sound absolutely great with bass.

Latest setup:
Very light compression, HPF set to about 35-50 hz (under board), Super Stack, and cab sim(white pedal) always on. Everything else to taste.
Since I can’t leave well-enough alone! Having some pedal fun today. I have a bunch of secular gigs in November, as well as a couple at church, so this is a multi-use setup. I can’t tell if this is ‘gonna be it’ for next month, or if further changes will be incorporated... on my bigger pedalboard. 
Fantastic tone here! I love the new Octavbre and YYZ, both sound amazing. The Sex Drive is fantastic- tone is absolutely great, but not *quite* as good for bringing out harmonics as the W&C Gold, Accountant, or CS-2.
I gotta admit, this is a great and very practical board for the stuff we do in church but this setup could also easily do crazy electronic stuff, loud rock, etc. It can go from mellow to all-out what-is-the-bass-playing-doing LOL!!

Mmmmmm. Toney goodness. With the exception of one pedal, I used this setup on Sunday and for the first time our sound guy, who is also a bassist, complemented my tone. I picked the Saffron Squeeze up on a MF SDOTD, and it’s pretty great. It really tightens up my tone and adds sustain. But when I played on Sunday, I felt like it totally robbed the thunderous low end from my B-string. But the sound guy loved it. Headed to the Ictineo next, which is a recently-acquired revelation. Adds such power and authority to each note, and you can’t get a bad tone out of it. Today I added the Linden. Apparently this is the pedal I have always been waiting for. I just didn’t know it. Total Ampeg B15 in a box. And with the bass knob, I can add back the lows that I feel the Saffron squeezes out of existence, but the sound still stays tight. The combination of the three is just perfect. I can’t turn any one of them off. If I want a little more Ampeggey tone, I dial the Ictineo back a little and the Linden up. If I want a little more modern, mid-focused tone, I do the opposite. With infinite shades of tone in between. The VT has been relegated to passive direct box status. I went back and forth between the Ictineo/Linden combo and the VTBass tonight, and the VT sounds thin and weak in comparison. Only problem is now the chorus won’t fit on my small board anymore. I need to do some shifting to see what I can work out.

Mount it under the board, and you should have room for the chorus.
Hey guys. Here's the latest rendition of my pedalboard. I soldered SP400 connectors and mogami cable throughout. I made it as neat and tidy as I could without pulling all my hair out. Super happy with the results from a playability standpoint. I'd love to do custom power cables next, to clean it up a bit. I'm using a CS7 for power(love it), but would like to swap it out for a CS12.
I'm playing a Nate Mendel P bass through either an Ampeg V4B and SVT410HLF, or an Ampeg Micro VR (amazing preamp on this little thing!) and 210 cabinet.
I'm relatively new to the Micro synth, but absolutely love it so far. Having a bit of trouble dialing it in though. Played with the internal trim pot somewhat. low octave seems to faintly cut in and out at a steady rate which I can't figure out, even in the higher registers. Also overall output seems lower, so it seems like if I want unity gain I need to use one side of the Hot Wax as a clean boost. Anyhow, thanks for looking and reading.

I've got the active Radial SB-1 and it works great. Requires phantom power though. I get great clean signal to FOH, and they don't ask me to turn it up.

So I had VTDI then traded that for VTDI Deluxe, traded that for Tone Hammer, and now Im using the BDDI V2. I love it. Its been a long time since I had the regular VTDI but the reason I traded it was to have the deluxe with different presets. I didnt like the deluxe like the regular VTDI. So I traded for the Tone Hammer. I love that too, still have it and probably never let it go. I missed the "amp" sound, I play in my reg band with SVT and 810 so the tone hammer was just not giving me the "feel" I wanted. I dont have it set to their "SVT" setting though. The mid control on the V2 made me try it and keep it. As you can see in photo the mids are bumped up.

It's so hard to ever settle on one thing. I have been rotating pedals almost constantly since I started this little journey a few years back. And every once in a while I'll look at, for example, my Reverb page of completed sales and say, "Aw, man! I wish I still had that! I could really use that now!" But I typically have to sell stuff to fund other purchases. It's a vicious cycle. I wish I had the budget to just keep everything I liked and rotate it in and out as needed.
story of my life lol. I can’t tell how many times I’ve sold something and wind up buying another like it down the road.
I try to always trade, just feels better for me. Keeps the wife happy as well. The only two things I miss is my 81 Gibson ripper and my SVT 215 cab out of all I have traded or sold.

That's a good idea, thanks. I might have to try one of those. I'm afraid to part with the VTBass, because I fear I might at some point want the cab simming again. And I'm afraid it will wind up in the pile of things that I have sold over the years but wish I'd kept. But in my current "mood" and what I'm after sound-wise, I'm more highly favoring the clean, powerful, cab-sim-less sound I'm getting from the Ictineo/Linden combo. It's super strong, and is less muddied and way clearer (which might be redundant) than the VTDI. And so far the one drive pedal I've tried without the cab sim function of the VTDI still sounds really good. And the reality is, when you're playing live, it's coming out of a cab anyway. Whether that's an amp on stage or the mains/monitors. Maybe a cab sim pedal is redundant, unless you need something for studio work. At least that's what I'm telling myself.
The only thing I'm concerned about genuinely losing is the -20dB on the XLR out of the VTDI, which I need to be able to practice at home with my Rolls PM50. Without it, the DI is too hot and makes the Rolls fart out. But I could maybe just keep it at home for that purpose. Or maybe the Radial passive direct box does not have as hot of a signal, so I wouldn't have that issue. Plus, the VTDI has the +10dB on the 1/4" out, which I currently rely on for pushing a power amp when I play at my old church in Detroit. Although, the Ictineo is a brand new addition, and it's super hot. Even without the boost engaged. I'd assume the Ictineo can put out enough juice to push a power amp. And I could use the 1/4" thru of any direct box to feed it. It would be a pain to drag the VT around and not have it on my pedalboard. One, I love just pulling the board out of the case and being ready to go. Nothing else to plug in but the XLR cable. Two, the VTDI requires power, even if you're running it bypassed. So I'd have to drag another power supply with me. That just seems like too much work, lol.
On a side note, the first reviewer on Sweetwater calls the SB-2 a "poor man's Neve." That alone makes me want to buy it right now. Because I really want a Neve, but I'm also poor. It seems like it's just meant to be.
