Yep. I have one and love it.

The church I play at has a multi-level stage area. We have a ButtKicker platform which is stationed off to the side on the lower level. When the band is positioned there I stand on the ButtKicker. They don't want it up on the primary stage. When the band is set up on the primary stage I use the BackBeat. It is far more discrete.

I do use a wireless system which makes you totally mobile when wearing the BackBeat. If you are using a cable, you just run your bass out to the BackBeat and then the BackBeat out to the amp/pedalboard or whatever. Really no different than normal cable out of bass to amp/pedalboard. You can also connect your IEM's to the BackBeat.

There are several different possible configurations.

I like both the ButtKicker and the BackBeat. I suppose it is easier to just stand on a ButtKicker platform but I like the way the BackBeat feels more. I also like the freedom it offers.

What NOS tubes are you using? I've tried vintage Mullards, Siemens silver plates, Bugle Boy, Telefunken, and RCA.

We solved our "lack of feel" with IEM's by putting an 18" Yamaha sub on the stage by the drummer and myself.
ButtKicker times 1,000. It really makes a difference. Drummer and I play a lot better now.

I've been selling off my old pedals - I had so many I though I was playing guitar!!! :roflmao::roflmao::roflmao: I replaced it with a HX Stomp - it is an AMAZING pedal and I love several of the bass presets with no tweaking necessary! I also got a Morningstar MC6 midi switcher but, since I am a midiot I am having a hard time getting it to work. Right now, I have the Stomp set up so that I can use the footswitchs to scroll up and down through the presets. You can easily move the list around, so I grouped the 8 presets I like the best. My favorite is the model of the Mesa M9 with the Mesa 6x10 cab and second is the Aguilar 751 with the Ampeg 8x10. If you can get a chance to play with it, I highly recommend it! The other nice thing is that it does not hiss.

Agreed... The psychological trick that the buttkicker plays on your mind is amazingly good. In the midst of a band hammering out a song, you are convinced you are standing in front of a massive high sound pressure 6x10 rig. Even the soft notes slightly come through your feet and add just a touch of heft to the note.

A few churches ago (I've moved a lot) someone had me try one of these transducer platforms. I don't know the brand, it may have even been DIY. Anyway, I tried it once and absolutely hated it. Didn't seem synced up with my playing, the vibration was unpleasant. Either this one didn't work very well, or I am absolutely baffled how anyone finds them useful.

Right, but our FOH guy is fine with it. He has compensated and it's really not interfering with the FOH mix. Doesn't take much for us to feel it right next to us. And it's one less thing to strap on or sit on. :cool:

Somehow our church came up with the budget to get me and the drummer Buttkickers.

They’re OK. They certainly add to the experience.

We run the house at 90dB peak, and often quieter. The Buttkickers vibrating is blatantly noticeable over the mains. It sounds like a ghetto blaster car is driving by rattling from the bass cannons. I haven’t been using mine due to this distraction I feel it causes the congregation.

I would have preferred the church putting the money into the musicians.

I find that most mfg. refer to "contour" as an EQ reference. Especially with amp folks, a contour button will get you from an EQ that is flat to the "smiley face" mid scoop. Is that what this has going on?

The controls layout is the same as my MXR M81 with the BTM with mid sweep, so I definitley like that....

I have one. I like it for playing fretless especially. It is not very convenient when disconnecting from the IEM after the starting set and then reconnecting for the end of service. I now have a custom cable that has the DI feed and IEM in one cable. That might make it a little easier now, I haven't tried it in a while.

One other thing is that the location where it needs to be to perform best is high on the strap against your back. At that position, you can't reach to make any adjustments without taking the bass off.

I like it, but it isn't quite as good as the videos make it out to be.

That's what I used prior to the Shift-line. I much prefer the Shift-Line because I like the versatility of the clean sound and I prefer the breakup of the Shift-Line. If I were into heavier music and wanted more intense distortion the Le Bass would be a good option.

@scubaduba what's your board looking like now? I thought I saw a pic you posted but can't find it. Are you uslng the SLO and the LA-1A together on a Nano? And if so what are you using for DI to FOH?

I think if I had those two I'd run the SLO into the LA-1A and then use one of @ExaltBass custom cables to use the balanced out to FOH

I've got a Sonic Farm 2di4 but not sure how to cable it to a LA-1A since it only has XLR out.
