Worship Bass Pedalboards

Good way to handle multiple basses with different output levels.
So I've had a Shift Line Olympic MKIII for a few months, but it's mainly been sitting in a cupboard until just last week since I was finishing my last semester in school. I finally got a chance to really test it out and use it for practice and live worship this past Sunday. In one word: amazing! Not that other DIs I've used have been slouches, but this gave me the best IEM tone I've experienced yet.
For those like me who cannot afford a super cool Noble
, maybe consider the SLO3 if you can swing it.

I'd love to compare a Shift Line to a Noble just to see the difference.

. . . . to a Two Notes Le Bass. Not that I'll every be able to justify buying any of them, but it's fun to live vicariously through the rest of you and listen to fun sound samples.
Jack Roan, the owner and sole employee of Noble, is a really good guy. We've been emailing back and forth a bit and I've thought about asking his opinion on his competition. I'm betting he'd be pretty candid.
The Noble is about more than just tone. It's an meticulously built high quality item. Jewel like. Even the switches feel premium.

Super! And this is for two reasons: it is very responsive to changes in dynamics, and has a superb IR loader with two very sweet sounding IRs. I set the gain on the very edge of breaking up (~10:00) so there is just the slightest bit of harmonic distortion to gently bring the bass out in the mix; and when I add drive from the 60b, it complements the tone lending it more dimension. The 8x10" cab sim kicks all of this up another notch.
Something that I appreciate about the cab sims chosen is that Shift Line removed the sound of the room from the IRs so that they are very direct sounding. In a live setting, such as in an auditorium or sanctuary, this is very practical since adding to the perceived room size would most likely be unfavorable. Lastly, the headphone amp and aux-in are ridiculously good. So much so, that I much prefer it to my PJB Bighead, which has until now been the best hp amp I've used. The SLO3 drives my DT770s 80-Ohms with great detail and punch in the low-end and plenty of volume to spare. Also, the aux-in colors the source in a real pleasing way; I'm not sure if it passes audio through the tube or some other signal path, but it makes everything sound fuller.
I hope to be able to record some sound samples so y'all can hear what it does. The EQ is interestingly subtle yet effective. I need to play with it a bit more better grasp what is happening--at any rate, I like keeping bass @ 2:00, mids @3:00, and treble wide open (~5:00).

Anyone know what the difference between the Shift Line MkII and MkIII are. It looks like it may be just the cab sims. There is a MkII on Reverb now. I'd like to try one just to do a comparison to the Noble.
Bright switch had a cut setting added in the MkIII and has an additional unaffected thru output in addition to the great cab sims.
According to their website, on the new MKIII they have split out volume control for the HI-Z output (Master) and the LO-Z outout/headphones (Volume), and have added the CAB Sim (2x15 or 8x10) which is defeatable. It looks like the old Bright switch is now named Hi, which acts as a LPF.

This is similar to the setup I'm working on! Im thinking about having diamond comp>zoom>midi selector>volume pedal>olympic. Trying to get a fun, compact, but versatile setup
Hi guys! Here's my setup which I use regularly at church. Still adding to the board, hence it being half empty. The CS-3 is always on, as is the Bass Soul Food. I sometimes vary the level of drive, but where you see it is where it stays 90% of the time. The path is pretty self explanatory = Polytune > CS-3 > Bass Soul Food > Micro POG > Clone. The board is a pedaltrain classic Jr, and everything is powered by a TruTone CS7 power supply. I'm playing a Fender Nate Mendel P bass with a Hipshot extender, into my board, into my Ampeg V4B and SVT410HLF. We use live amps on bass and guitar, and obviously either direct line outs and or mic'd cabs. It sounds big and incredible haha!

New update to my board used for the first time last night...
The new additions are the two Eden pedals, a Californiwah envelope filter (replacing my Morley Dual Bass Wah) and an I-90 chorus which replaces my 30 year old Boss CE-2B which died earlier this week. Was so blessed to have got both pedals for a stupidly low price in one of those super sale, "it's not Black Friday but we're doing that kind of deal anyway" deals from Gear4Music. Total cost of BOTH including shipping was less than half the list price of the Californiwah alone!!!!
The chorus is wonderfully shimmery and a very different character to my old Boss but I love it. Keeping the rate down real low (set on 1.5 otherwise you're in real indie wobble territory). Adds a nice 80s vibe while still sounding hi fi and blending in plenty of dry signal in the mix.
The Californiwah needs very careful setting up like any filter pedal but I've found a couple of really nice quacky sounds with a nice LFO style tail. Great for synth bass type effects with a touch of OD feeding the pedal. Of course there were no songs calling for that sound in yesterday's set list but still, had a good play around with it in the soundcheck. Great fun. Both sounded lovely with my 1979 Wal Pro IIE last night...

Finally got out from behind the soundboard and in front of the pedalboard last nigt! This was the setup:
Played my MTD Kingston Z5 with Delano SBC Dual Coils and Nordstrand Pre. Into the tuner and out the micro hush. I used a powered speaker as a monitor so I ran into a few "harshness" issues, but I'm still waiting on a preamp before I go seeking solutions to that. I'll eventually be going to in-ears so I'll experiment with some settings, but an omnicabsim may be in my distant future.
