    Depends on how far you are standing from the amp, and on what axis. Lower freqency sound waves are longer and slower, so they are heard better further from the amp. Bag End Time align cabs address this.

    I play a 1981 Kramer headless/fretless bass, from before there was a Duke model (Proto Duke?).It's a 30.5" scale with flats and Dimarzio humbuckers. l play it through a Barber Linden EQ to get a fantastic "Baby Bass" sound/feel.
