Everything looks good about it except the cost... $4k is very steep for what it offers. But, there's people out there buying $5k and up basses, so this might be for them.

Thanks! I went through the thread yesterday and saw those Genalex as well as some TAD “Black plate” power tubes suggested. For those that have the experience or knowledge, which tubes affect the tone the most (Power vs Preamp). Not exactly in a hurry to swap anything out, just figured I’d ask...

Anyone know the difference in the preamps/tubes between the 30W models? I think the Original LB30 has 2, saw a post on here with one having 3, and the Little Stubby has 4 tubes (ecc81, ecc82, and 2 ecc83 tubes). If I wanted to swap tube brands in preamp, which one is for the drive?

Ashdown CTM-30 Little Stubby. I’m guessing the low wattage didn’t require a standby because even the CTM-100 has a Preheat switch. Although Ampeg’s PF-20t has one…

New to the Tube Amp world myself, but since mine doesn’t have standby, I just make sure the volume is down when I turn it on and let it warm up for a few minutes. I turn the volume down to 0 when changing bass, or unplugging. Probably need to do the same when turning off.

Update! Stopped by Sam Ash and picked up a 1/4” TRS to TRS cable (won’t get into how run down the place feels…). Little Stubby DI out into Two Notes Cab M+ (set at 0db input gain) and then XLR out to interface and it worked. PreSonus AudioBox set to -10 DB (that’s the minimum), and CAB M output...

Yeah, the Cab M can take a speaker from Amp, and it has a -25db switch with a Speaker out (mono, unprocessed) to the cab. What I don’t know yet is if the “unprocessed” cab out truly means unprocessed and sends the full signa to the cab without the volume affected. Manual says the Instrument/Amp...

Just ordered another Speaker cable to see if this works for recording and playing through cab at the same time (not sure if speaker out and XLR out signals can be set to different volumes). If not, then at least it will work for somewhat quiet recording without having to play lightly. Definitely...

For those that record at home, what DAI are you using? I have a PreSonus AudioBox that clips even with its input gain at minimum with my amp. I’ve tried all kinds of variations on gain with the Little Stubby, and unless I play at ridiculously low volume (how fun is that?…), the signal clips...

Just for fun, what’s everyone’s amp setting? This is mine in a small practice bedroom. Gets slightly gritty if I dig in, and even clean, has a nice tube saturation.

I’m wondering what it would take to add a tweeter mute switch to my MAG 410t? Would it do anything to the impedance if I just cut one of the tweeter wires and add a switch? Also wondering if it would be better to order a new panel that already has the switch… any suggestions?
