I had that issue with the stock strings. Once I changed and settled the new strings in I haven't had an issue. Good luck!

Hi @jmjbassplayer, I recently got the Fender JMJ and love it... well mostly! It feels great, and I love the weight. But I seem to get a bit of distortion/growl on my E/A strings. Doesn't matter what the pick up height is, if I dig in it gets dirty. Is this something that you expect the pickup...

Thanks for suggestion so far. Price isnt really an issue. If its the amp for me I'll spend what it takes. I currently have a Gallien Krueger 1001 RB11 and the GK 410 RBH cab. So preferably an amp that does something very different to the GK. I love it to bits but i could do with a rig thats...

I am a massive Can and therefore Holger Czukay fan. I really want to know about the gear he uses. I found out that he commonly used Fender Mustangs and Musicmasters but nothing about amps. Does anyone know anything about amps he used?

Just looking at new bass amps and not sure where to go. I am into bass sounds from old bands such as Can, Captain Beefheart, and Led Zep. But I also like new band sounds such as Queens of the Stone Age and Tame Impala. Any recommendations?

I have been a round wound boy for years now but i recently changed to flatwound chromes on my short scale. They sound immense. Is this a trick every bassist is missing, or do people not use them? If so why not?!

i am am quite an aggressive player, so it may be me. normally it only occurs when i play with my fingers so i'll try moving my wrist. i'll raise the action abit too. but are the badass 2 bridges known for moving once set? it seems to have started again quite quickly!

my bass has started to click when i play and i cant stop it. I use a bad ass 2 bridge and i have heightened the action but its started to click again. I play in the middle of the fret like i have been taught so i think my techniques alright. its just irritating, please help

A Baddass 2 would be great. but i suggest getting one that hasnt been used because they change depending on the player, unless the saddles have been carved. the Gotoh bass bridges are nice, as well as Hipshot bridges.

check out the joe meek or the tf-pro channel strips, sound great, and have optical compressers. good value too. Old ones are as good as the new ones so check out ebay

I want to find some strings that go from 105-50 or 55. I like Ernies but they die too quick. Any ideas? cheerss
