The closer the fault is to your house, the higher the fault level. If one hits a pylon outside your house, the fault levels are too high and too quick for any protection to operate. Goodbye amp :mad:.

I would never 'custom mod' such a beautiful bass. Got a 4003 myself and i'd only touch it to remove the bridge pickup cover. But drilling holes in a bass like that? Crazy imo. Are the necks wider on the genuine 5 string 4003's compared with the 4 string?

What a lovely bass. If I was to add to the boy blue one I have just now, the midnight blue finish would be my choice. Once you have one, it's there for life IMO.

Yeah, I think the pastel colours have went out of fashion. Just glad I got it when I did, as the price of ric's have rocketed over the past few years.

Yeah, I agree with this. Was mulling over an Ashdown Neo 2x10 cab and felt that it didn't give me the bottom end. Ended up trying and buying an Aguilar GS 2x12. £200 of a difference mind you, but I never looked back.
