    Hofner Question - Chinese model

Hey folks - I’ve owned this bass for 5 years, got it used in mint condition from Guitar Center on line. It has the original Hofner tag/pamphlet from wherever the original owner purchased it (pictured) - any idea what the HI BB "SB Upgrade" designation as the Model means vs the head stock and...

What Foghat songs featured everyone playing guitar?

I did not recall this and just saw a video with him playing the double neck. I am FB friends with him and asked him about it. He told me Fender made it for him, 4 string Jazz neck with PBass pickups and a strat 6 string neck - both necks were numbered 001. Made of Spanish Rosewood, and the frets...

    Eden Nemesis RS 212

Hey guys, I pulled this combo out after years and just started to use for bars/smaller clubs and it still sounds great. It blew a capacitor years back (only problem it ever had) and in the back of my mind I always think it could happen again. My question - is there any way to use a class D as a...

    Ampeg SVT 210-AV

Have you ever tried a TH500? It has such low clearance that it almost bounces with the 210 AV handles, and does not really get seated on the cabinet. I’ve never had a mishap either but was hoping maybe there is a stock small stand/platform that happens to fit and I’d secure the head to that.

    Ampeg SVT 210-AV

Hey all, I’ve waited too long a time to ask for help on this but does anyone have a solution when using an Aguilar TH-500 on top with a pair of SVT 210-AV’s? I’ve gigged with this setup when the venue size works for years and always just hope the head doesn’t slide off - I don’t want to turn the...

Best LIGHTWEIGHT Amp/Cab: I am injured and looking for a light rig

Aguilar TH 500, 3.8 lbs and two Ampeg SVT-210 AV's 26 lbs each. I use a Markbass 104-HR mainly but have used the Ampeg's on large indoor club stages and outdoors, all when going through a house PA. Total back saver. I do usually use the Ampeg's when playing bars 50/50 whether going through a PA...

Anyone else NOT into lightweight mini rigs?

Great topic. I am all about trying for great sound with compact gear. The older I get the more I've played averaging about 70 gigs/year that last 3 years with several bands. I will never turn down from playing through a festival back line of an SVT 8x10 or something similar but if I am moving it...

    Need to vent.....

Good venting...I would definitely play the gig and call it a day...I have a very similar situation but am just gradually fading away and they are getting the picture that my other band(s) are taking precedence, have had them get fill in's for most of the last few gigs...they are a great group of...

Favorite lightweight bass cab with good low-end?

If you can get past the yellow (which I did because of it's sound) the MarkBass Standard 10HR, only 56 lbs, in 4 or 8 ohms, 800W RMS, AND I saw it this week at Musicians Friend for $699 - that's a steal...using it for bigger/louder stage situations and outdoor gigs, classic rock.
