I guess the European prices are similar to most other American products. That said not sure I can follow the pricing difference on all array cabinets here in the UK. I think the 15-3 SLT is in the UK £999 versus £799 for the 12-3 SLT when the price difference between the two models on the...

    Rotosound Ultramag

Its been years since I used the Dunlop SB so can't speak to that. The string tension on the Rotosounds is based on their data for most strings quite a bit higher (approx 10-15%) compared to a comparable NYXL set (45-130) apart from the B which are in the same ball park. Edit: the A and E on the...

it had to be done... ;-) the 5 string set is becoming more available around here and prices settled a little. Put the 45-130 set on a Sei Jazz bass and they are becoming good friends. Might be my new go to string for the time being, really like them.

I still like them and tuning stability is good. I did a little bit of home recording in the meantime and thought they record well. They haven't lost too much high-end tonewise in the last month (about 5hrs playing per week) and sound good with the effects I use (Octaver, mild Distortion, Chorus...

Took the plunge and installed a set (45-105) on my Yamaha BB3000a. I replaced a set of Hi-Beams with the Ultramag on this bass. Here some first impressions bearing in mind that my recent experience with different strings is not enormous (Hi-Beams, Dunlop SuperBrights Nickel, NYXL and Thomastik...

a few quick questions since the next dealer is a bit further out. Currently using my MG -800 with an NX2-212 and very tempted by all these array offerings to modify my cab game. Considering a the 410 or alternatively a 15-3 and 210-3 (probably slant) stack - shhh don't tell the don't mix drivers...

    Best (bright) nickel strings?

No experience with the strings you mention but you could give D'Addario NYXL strings a shot. They are nickel plated, quite bright sounding and long lasting.
