Well, I just plugged in the 210 and so far, well, wow. Did I say it's loud? It is. And just what you'd expect. Seems to extend above and below, as I thought, where the stacked 12s sat. The 15 extends into big time rumble country where it moves a serious amount of air. Fretted notes on the E string (sorry no B for me) just shake the walls in ways that the 12s didn't. And they were no slouches, believe me. I bought them because of how much air they moved compared to my Markbass 15.

Playing through both cabinets delivers just the sound I was looking for. The 15 is nice and scoopy while the 210 really shines in the mids. I also suspect this is because the 210 is not on the floor (we have a subfloor so I'm guessing the 15 loves to use the house as a passive subwoofer). Together they seem like a perfect combination of feeling and hearing all the notes up and down the fretboard. I would say that if I had to take one cabinet out, certainly for a rock gig, it would be the 15. If I was less concerned with chest thumping sound, the 210 would be fine. I will say that I don't think I'll us the "B" curve as I find the stack very present in the mids, even in the "A" curve. I suspect that I'll dial back the mids and use the "A" curve exclusively.

Not sure what else to say except that I am exceptionally happy with the look, sound, slant and feel of this rig. I can't imagine a situation I'll be in or tone that I won't be able to achieve with this rig. I'm happy to answer any specific questions if I can.

I do have a question that hopefully Jeff will be able to answer. It looks like some insulation material is sticking out the front left side of the 210. Is this something that needs fixing? Something I can do myself easily? Here's a pic of what I'm talking about in closer detail.

Is that the 210 slant or non slant version? Thanks for sharing your thoughts on the stack.

@dwellers --- about the close up pic you showed on the BA210-3 cab, that is foam cushioning between the metal grille and the grille cleat where the metal grille is attached. it is there to dampen the grille so there are no rattles. Should not be so visible that you can see a little of it from behind the grille.
We have recently changed how this is applied so there is less chance to see this "peeking out".

Second that. I just recorded with Sean Beresford who, among other things, was Mark King's road tech and worked for Mesa/Boogie for many years. He LOVED the DI and amp tone out of my 800. I think a DI/Pre would be awesome!

Well, after a very pleasant call with Jeff to talk about the insulation foam around the grill, I decided to pop it open and have a look. It really is just some extra material spilling over and other than the aesthetic, makes no difference. So it will stay and make my 210-3SLT unique!

So great that Jeff would take the time to chat about it, offer to send me a new grill etc. I'm thrilled with the rig and the level of service Jeff provides to his customers. Why go anywhere else?

I’m Mr.Business and I’m an amp whore. I’ve been on a long Tone Hammer binge and thought I was happy. Then my band added another guitar and my overdriven tone wasn’t cutting through anymore. I took my Genzler 350 to the next practice and found a nice clean tone that was well pronounced in the mix. Everyone smiling and happy! Talk of it being the best practice ever. Tone hammers for sale! On the hunt for a Genzler 800! And maybe another 350. You da man Jeff! Oh ya, I would buy a preamp/di also!

Sorry I missed this earlier this week. We've discussed. I always say that we've done this already with our "powered" DI --- the small MG-350 head. :thumbsup:

Now I know it is not what your asking but we do continue to listen to players and how they drive companies for product development.

Maybe I should give that a try. I've been trying to warm up my IEM sound. I currently just go right to a JDI and that's it. No preamp or anything. I have a tube compressor/DI on the way to try. That would replace the JDI on my board if it helps. Maybe just having some eq ability is all I need. The 350 is small, maybe not meant to be on the floor, but I don't play a lot of "questionable" places and usually have space. Hmm. Maybe that's worth a try. Save myself $500.

Your DI preamp would have to have the dirty channel as well...
