I have a Korg Pitchclip headstock tuner, but that's more for noodling around at home or rehearsal. At a live gig it's going to pick up every sound in the room, so it would be a pain. For gigs I use Snark SN2 pedal tuner. Super accurate, works great on the low B, and was a pretty good price.

My band cut one "studio" album. Basically we showed up and banged out 9 songs, no second takes (well, there was one, because the first take was a train wreck). Came out okay in post, sounds pretty decent. Could be better, but considering our drummer had been with us for all of five rehearsals...
