What should I play over this chord? Please Help

Sounds like a compound chord to me, a C# major over an F bass (C#/F). If you played a G# over that chord it would become a G#sus4. I think it depends on the song, but either an F or a G# would sound fine for the chord.

    Avoid sliding sound during recordings?

I think flats are the way to go if you're looking for less string noise.

    New Zoom B3 has arrived!!!!

Looks sweet. Definitely love the Zoom stuff, can't wait to hear what it sounds like. If the price ends up being less than the G3, I'm gonna end up feeling worse for pulling the trigger on a RC-20XL a couple of months ago. :(

What is your opinion of Musician's Friend online store

Just recently purchased a new bass head and a cab from MF, and have also ordered strings and other good stuff from there. Great service.

    decent multi effects pedal?

When I'm playing straight ahead jazz on my electric, I try to emulate not...

First time flats - And I love it!!

The Chromes are definitely like butter to play on, and they settle in real nice over time. They just seem to fit in great on whatever you're playing on.

    Double Bass Hairspray

I played this show in the summer as well. There were written lines for pretty much all of the songs, though the chords are there as well if I remember correctly. There's definitely a lot of room for ad libbing, because some of the lines are simplified (some a whole lot more than others) from the...
