Interesting. So with my 2PRO, as with any tube amp, I don't need to worry about the red light and "clipping" unless it sounds bad? That's what I think I'm hearing from you two. Thanks so much for the help. It's helping put me at ease... :)

Thanks anderbass. I've tried the padded input, but I'm still clipping the amp. I'll try lowering the input knob, though I don't recall that helping much...it's been a while since I've used this amp, so we'll see. Thanks again!!

Thanks for the reply! I've got a pedal, but am planning on using a rack mount soon. So basically, if it's a pedal, use it in series right after my bass. And if it's rack mounted, I should use the effects loop? My Flea 5 has such a hot signal that I seem to clip the 2PRO a lot, and I want...

Hello all. This is gonna be a dumb question, but how should I hook up my compressor with this amp? Inbetween the bass and line-in or through the effects loop? And where should I put my rack mount tuner? Sorry for the stupid questions...:crying:

Sorry it took so long, but from the middle of the 12th fret (the fret itself, not the space in the fingerboard before it) to the neck edge of my Bart MM pickup is 318mm. Hope that helps!

I could tell you the distance from the pickup to the 12th fret, but not the actual coil, as my Barts have the coils covered up under plastic. :hmm:

Okay WarriorJoe7 and Labanass - The SD MM pickup directly from Modulus that they had built "as-closely-as-possible" to the LP is $120 + shipping. They may actually have them in this month, so I'm crossing my fingers. :D

That's right, warnan. That bass is Tetsuo Sakurai's signature bass. He's probably Japan's greatest bass player. He's been playing since the 70's, I believe, in many Jazz/Fusion bands. To name a couple are Casiopea and Jimsaku, not to mention a few solo albums with guests like Dennis Chambers...
