The scale is indeed tipping in that direction. If I do I'll probably hold off until the spring to do the 15". The jury is still out on that one. But now that I've done one the second will definitely be a bit easier.

You are correct. Although the straight sanding with 120 grit did a world of good. If I had taken a bit more time the artifacts of the belt sander would have been less over all. The fact that there is a bit of unevenness here and there is one of the detractors for a natural finish.
