I really just started to play around with the guitar a little, after many years of bass playing. I'm trying to fill in large gaps in my musical knowledge. And I'm finding guitar to be a ton of fun.

Put me in the category of "I can't believe I'm saying this, but I love the look." When I first started seeing them I thought they looked ridiculous and ugly. I've done a complete 180. I think it started with the Brubaker Brute, where I actually considered buying one ... never mind hating them.

Vintage Pedal. Well worn, but sounds great, except for the foot switch, which needs to be cleaned or replaced because it seems to cut out. It appears to be all original, but I'm no expert. Looking for $200 or best offer.

I've seen another bass player from that era keep licking his fingers. Must have been a fad.

For home use? I used to drive a 410 XLT and 210 XLT with one of these. I was probably pushing the amp too much, but it was loud as heck. Excellent piece of equipment.

To put in nicely: Ampeg consistently made basses that don't appeal to my eyes.

The two Storyville albums were phenomenal. Not only the rhythm section but the vocalist is incredible.

For what it's worth, Dave lives near me and recently fixed my output jack. It was done timely, well, and for a good price. I don't know anything about this pickup situation, but I thought I'd chime in with a positive personal experience.

x2. I see a lot of gorgeous basses on this forum, but WOW! When the ramp is intergrated into a bass like that it looks amazing IMO. I prefer that for the looks alone, never mind consistency of attack.

I think I just saw that bad boy on Ebay...or one that looks a lot like it.
