there are ways to use velcro without gluing it to the pedals. i use cases stuffed with foam that holds the pedals in place. no velcro at all.

what's the budget? the three i have from least to most expensive. HoF is a good bang for the buck pedal. i didnt like it on guitar there's a modulation underneath & a grittyness to the top end that bug me on that instrument. but it sounds good on my rhodes & would probably fare well on bass...

as you can tell by the results here, results vary wildly depending on your rig & the sound you're going for. i'm in the "meh" camp.
