    Drum machine worth buying?

if you just want to practice noodling there are plenty of inexpensive options. cell phone drum machines like Electrum & RD3 are dirt cheap. many sample & loop libraries are free & there are many cheap/free audio apps which are more versatile than most classic drum machines if you just want to...

    Are you compressor-less??

    Pedal Buyer's Remorse – A Love-Hate Story

there are many options out there for all different types of players. from a lone Acoustic to a Doug Wimbish Rig. i have a couple recommendations for anyone considering a pedal habit. 1) shop around & buy used when you can. if you buy smart you can usually sell the gear for what you paid, if you...

    carrying pedals

Looking good! Glad to hear you found one & it's working for you! did you try putting the pedals on the "lid" part & keeping the foam on the deep side to hold them in place while in transport?

The aestethics of the pedal board

if i find more than one pedal that does what i want, i'll go for the ones that look good together. sound, size, power & specs (mono/stereo, controls, ect) are the priority. i've got a black & primary colors thing going on my bass board. [Invalid or Expired Link Removed]

    Power Supply Question

my method is to make a chart. mark the voltage & mA of all your pedals & then go here & find one with isolated outs that fits the bill. http://stinkfoot.se/archives/808 i use BBE Supa Charger, Voodoo PP2+ & TRex Fuel Tank Jr on my 3 boards and have no noise problems.

Looking at picking up a reverb. What's good?

what's the budget? the three i have from least to most expensive. HoF is a good bang for the buck pedal. i didnt like it on guitar there's a modulation underneath & a grittyness to the top end that bug me on that instrument. but it sounds good on my rhodes & would probably fare well on bass...

Giving some thought to real tube overdrive

i used a Mesa V1 for a while. it was thunderous. eventually i jumped on the Darkglass bandwagon & replaced it with a B3k due to size & power issues. both are great sounding pedals though.

Malekko Ekko 616 Dark VS Malekko 600 Dark VS (I guess) Ekko 616

I've got a Malekko 300D. it's a great sounding pedal. i'm tempted to pick up the 616 Dark for longer delay times & it has a few extra knobs to tweak. some people gripe that it doesn't cut thru a mix due to not being bright enough. i've played with BBE 2 timer which is based on an old Boss...
