I'm using a Hondo II P for my project as well... I don't know about yours, but the control cavity on mine is too wide for a standard Fender pickguard... Luckily yours came with a pickguard. I had to make my own ;) Also, mine has a plywood body too. Good luck with your project!

Well thanks to the rain I didn't leave to go camping today meaning... I finally got the routing done & am very pleased! Next step now is to put the veneer inserts in the fretboard & to re-seal the neck with a clearcoat. Again, will post pics when done :bassist:

Thanks! Yeah same here ;) Was a bit wary as to how the pickguard would turn out... But so far so good! I also had a guy at my dad's work fabricate a new neck plate which turned out good... Can't wait! :D

Finally received my parts a few days ago... You'd be amazed how much it costs to send a parcel to New Zealand! Planning to do routing and install bridge & pups in the next few days... Will post pics. BTW J.Crawford... Your one certainly did turn out well!

What about a 3-way toggle switch? They're a bit smaller I think.... Or do you want to keep it blade switch style?
