Just heard back from the legend Dustin. 654 Treble and 987 Bass is correct for 2026 Kinda wild the G gets that close. The FAQs even mention to keep it at 2.5mm or more. Interesting.

Thanks Ivan. A few of the official Dingwall setup guides specifically say the stock setup is, with the 24th fret 'depressed' (fretted?), the gap should be 4, 5, 6 64ths on the G and 7, 8, 9 on the B, being Bridge Middle Neck respectively. This does seem a little odd to me since it puts the...

Bit of a silly question, but how do you guys go about ensuring your strings don't twist with the minimalist bridge when restringing? I find the slot for the strings tends to lock them in, but once you start tightening the string it seems like it wants to twist a smidge, but the minimalist...

Does anyone know if the Combustion series truss rod nuts are replaceable? I saw a comment from 8 years ago that the Canadian series are, but I wasn't sure if that's still the case or if it even applies to the Combustions. I'm not in need of a replacement, but just curious if ever it does come up.

I use a GLXD16+ I've also used a Line 6 Relay G50. The Shure is best in class without spending proper pro grade money (and even then it's still excellent). I wouldn't bother with anything lesser unless you're just testing the waters with wireless for a bit of fun.

    Seymour Duncan Powerstage Bass

Checking back in. Kind of forgot about this thread, sorry! Have used the amp a solid few times in the last year. I mainly run direct through an in ear rig so it doesn't get out much, but it's VERY usable and I'd say the main characteristic is "transparent", which is exactly what I want from an...

What hard-shell is everyone rocking? For a Combustion or Afterburner. Have seen the gator TSA recommended but also seen mixed things. The SKB 44 seems cool but doesn't really fit the combustion very well. Would love some recs for a premium HSC.

Could also be the room you're playing it in at home, amp and EQ settings, etc.

Has anyone owned a KK3 and an NG3? How's the tonal difference? I usually run my NG3 in Active but set flat. Wondering how different the KK3 would sound since its the same PUPs. The new KK3 looks like it has an EMG preamp, so the same as a Combustion. Kinda looks like it's a Combustion with a...

Does anyone know anything about this bass? It's not a regular JT model which have a pau ferro board and very distinct finish. It's not an NG since none come in rose gold or have that fretboard. It's not a regular combustion since they don't come in that finish and have Pau Ferro. It's...

Gorgeous bass. How'd you find buying from Bass Freaks? I was looking at picking something up from him but he was kinda rude about it and it also looks like his instagram is filled with Manosphere BS. Makes me hesitate.

Issues with my A String sounding funky

I posted these issues over on the Dingwall thread, but someone recommended I post here. The short version is I have this weird over tone, buzzy something that makes my A string (and to an extent D string) sound kind of poopie. I've tried multiple A strings, before anyone asks so I don't think...

Thanks, I might ask over there. I'm playing Indie Rock, Alternative and a bit of Punky stuff, so nowhere near enough distortion to cover it. The guy I usually see is generally quite good, but I'm considering taking it to someone else for a second opinion. I'll make a post in the Hardware and...

Primarily just the A, but of D. Strung heights are measured at the 12th fret with nothing depressed, so the space between the 12th fret and the string. Sheldon's videos pin this at between medium and medium low. Definitely playing with a pick (0.6mm dunlop) although it's audible with...

Hey Dingwall fam I've checked my polarities. It looks like they're all in the same orientation / phase and are producing the same waveform (up then down). I've also triple checked my pickup configuration and they are in fact in Neck Bridge Neck now. I've also done an acoustic recording. Could...
