    Mesa boogie tt-800 review

However, wondering if adding a subway 210 or a 115 might get the level of tone I had? Any thoughts?

    Mesa boogie tt-800 review

I just sold my Big Block 750/Powerhouse 410/Powerhouse 115 cabs and bought the Mesa Subway TT-800 and Subway Ultra-lite 212, due to weight and size reduction. I was amazed how much air these 212's push! I think the sound with the boogie channel is better so far for sure, but subway channel is...

Need help comparing Mesa Big Block 750 and TT800

I had a BB 750 w/a Powerhouse 410 and 115 cab. The frequency range was crazy between these cab configurations. It never disappointed me with the tone and could dial it in from a really warm tube sound to a bright clean tone, but the mixed ability to dial in a combination of warm tube low & a...

Orange Amplification Launches Updated O Bass

Not too much an Orange fan as a bass player personally. They have economized and ridden on their early name recognition success in my opinion. Did they ever manufacture guitars before as a company?

    Precision or StingRay?

Love both those basses, but here's my suggestion. G&L ASAT Telecaster, active/passive w/independent polarization. I think I have 18 different tone settings (not including blending). Couldn't be happier with this bass guitar. But don't take my word for it. Leo Fender said it was the best bass...

Mesa Big Block 750 or Ampeg SVT?

I have a Mesa Big Block 750. Originally with Mesa Powerhouse 650w 410 Cab. I added a 650w 115 cab, and have to tell you the tone, range clarity and depth were tremendous. Best amp and combination I've ever played with. Big block is a hybrid, so has preamp tubes with solid state dialed in with...

    Playing with the band.

Hey all, this pandemic world has been rough for us all in so many ways, and don't want to diminish it to playing music alone as so many have lost loved ones. I've been pretty much isolated with my family doing the same for the last 14 mos., and one of the things that has been great has been...

NBD - Höfner Ed Sullivan Ignition Beatle bass

I bought one used just after they were released on ebay, and glad I did. I took off the pick guard because I think it looks better. Unfortunately the seller removed the sticker Ed Sullivan sticker on the pickguard, but it's imprinted on the back of the headstock as Ed Sullivan. Sound is great...

70's Fender Bassman 4x12: Is it really that bad?

I played this cab with a fender bassman 135 for years. Blew out all four 12" speakers. Twice. I can't remember if they were Altec, Utah or Jensen's, (factory), but they didn't last. Replaced them with JBL's and this was the most killer amp and cab I ever played. It rattled the air in my lungs...

Mesa Boogie Big Block Club (750/TitanV12)

Love my BB 750. Played it with a powerhouse 4x10 cab, but over drove the cab and blew the first 1/10. Replaced it and added a powerhouse 115 cab with my 4/10 and man...the tone with the 115 added to the 410's is great. Someone told me in the forum argued that 8/10's were better than 4/10 + 1/15...

Best cab to go with Mesa Big Block 750?

I play a BB 750, and originally w/ a single powerhouse 410. Added a ph 115 and tone overhead is fantastic!

    Bass Guitar and Amp/ Speakers

I play a Mesa Big Block 750 with a 410 and 115 and a G&L ASAT bass. I believe that this is the best combination of sound/power I've been able to find. Anyone have opinions or other suggestions?

Best cab to go with Mesa Big Block 750?

I play a BB 750 w/PH410 and although the sound is really great and pretty loud the amp can overdrive the cab. In fact I just blew one of the 10's. I'm replacing the 10 and adding a PH 112 400w cab.. I'm hoping that overhead will be what I'm looking for since I was stressing the 410 cab alone.
