Sorry, no video’s here but here is the basic overview.
The boogie channel sounds incredible. Way better than the subway channel, which is already really good.
Gain is low and will not really distort unless you drive it with pedals or preamp gain. It will distort slightly with the gain switch on high.
l’ll need some more time to really sort out the effectiveness of having both preamps in a live setting.
IMO worth the extra $$ for the tt channel, it really sounds great. If the wd has a similar preamp that may be a better value.
Signal path was mtd 535 to tt-800 to gk 410 neo to human ears.
it reminds me of an svt 3 with more roundness and punch to the lows and mids.
Rack will be in tomorrow and next week I’ll test it with pedals.

With an average bass, you should be able to overdrive the input on the high gain switch position starting about 1:00 on the gain control. You can turn the gain control all the way up if yo need to for a low output bass.

First off, I believe you are affiliated with mesa. If that’s the case…please let everyone know this amp sounds amazing. Also, the mtd is active but actually fairly low output. The other basses in the stable drive quite nice. Gonna smooth it out and boost a little with the empress.
Also, and again, this amp sounds really amazing. I like the subway channel but the boogie channel is probably where this will live. It really really fattens up for a class d. Really surprised. The 2 or 3 videos on fb don’t do it justice.

Thanx for the review and post. I consider myself pretty settled on the WD800 as my go-to amp, but I keep seeing posts like yours and I can't help but go, "hmm...".

I think I know of a TT800 close by that I may be able to try before it's sold. It's being sold because the owner had a WD, sold it to buy the TT, then decided it wasn't quite for him and bought another WD. Maybe next week.....:D

I just sold my Big Block 750/Powerhouse 410/Powerhouse 115 cabs and bought the Mesa Subway TT-800 and Subway Ultra-lite 212, due to weight and size reduction. I was amazed how much air these 212's push! I think the sound with the boogie channel is better so far for sure, but subway channel is good too (actually louder). So far I'm pretty much digging this rig - not giving up a lot of tone or power for the size and weight reduction. "No regrats. Not even a single letter!"

However, wondering if adding a subway 210 or a 115 might get the level of tone I had? Any thoughts?
