I totally agree upon that. Why to change good things? It's like you bought yourself new rolls royce and you take it to west coast customs to change it? no logic, no reason. So if it's everything ok with it, leave the kid alone, another brick in the wall :hiding::D:D

I have just one bass also,and it bass starter pack SX four strings fretted. It doesn't sound so bad for all begginer techniques and you can do all on it but, after that of course you need something new. You can say i'm still new, although i'm playing for almost one year, but first month or two...

So, i wanna know, which bass player had the biggest infulence on your playing and why? Or more players, each for one style. For example, in general the biggest influence on me is definitely made by Victor Wooten, but in funk style my influence for sure was Bootsy Collins. :cool::cool: So...

It's hard to play something that you don't like, i really can't do it to be honest, cuz it sounds awful. Only thing that can be bright in playing that is if you have lot of bass tones and scales and stuffs that you can play in that kind of songs, or if you can improvise to make better sound, but...

I think right choice for u is Squire, they sound great for their price, i don't know if you can buy new one for 300$ but surely you can find the used one for that money. And my advice is definately is not to buy SX, never, never, never, cuz they are just stupid copies and better to wait a bit...
