I own a chaos OB and its an overall very quiet bass. I have to crank my gain and main volume on my GB head to make it sound "loud". Ive raised my pickups and didn't do a whole lot to help. I think a preamp would help but I haven't changed it on mine because I love the tone of the bass.

Was hard to read this yesterday as I followed pretty closely over the years and resd in june he pulled through a battle with pneumonia. At least the pain is gone and he left us with a ton of music. Hopefully eros will show up in some form someday.

I have a Chaos Obession 5 with the Rockfields. Love the sound of the bass but yes its soooooooo quiet. I have tried raising pickups but didnt do a whole lot. And nothing is the same size these were custom for these basses. My next attempt will be a new preamp. Im sure it would help.
