It will make a difference but nothing sounds like a 'Ray. You might try shielding the control cavities before you spend the money on pickups. The stock ones aren't half bad if you can get rid of the noise. I have a BAII on my Jag but I'm not sure it really makes that much of a difference.

Strange I've never really had a problem with my BAIIs, even setting the action as low as i want. What do you guys mean by bulky? Sure they're bigger than the stock bridge but have never been so big as to interfere with my playing. I guess everyone has their opinions though.
