    G and L. L2000...pickup noises

    I've got a 1984 G & L. L2000...original owner. When I play the E string, there is a crackle noise coming from the neck pick up.... Is there a repair or cleaning I can do, or will the pick up need replacement???..... If I do replace it, should I replace both????

    NBD, vintage G&L

    ive got a 1984 G&L L2000.... I'll pass it down to my grand kids someday....

    Conversion from EADG to BEAD

    I had broken the original nut at the E position on the G & L, so when I replaced it, I went to BEAD. Took awhile to get used to.... Found myself lost in the middle of a song several times. I just picked up ny first five string to compensate for losing the G string.....

    I went to BEAD in my G & L..... I do miss the G string, but not ad much as I love that low B......its the boss for sure
