    MIJ Jaguar Bass Pickup FAIL!

I think I paid £35 at my local tech for a pickup and bridge replacement, he had it done perfectly for the next day. Maybe you should find a new tech?

The "I got this bass at a pawnshop club."

Marlin By Hohner P-bass from the 70s, got it for £25 at a charity shop in the UK (the best place to find this sort of thing as most pawn shops in the UK only have jewellery/electronics). Here's how it looked on the first day I took it home: Here it is after a good clean, new strings, a...

P-bass tone control makes almost no difference.

Alright, I'll try doing that and report in once its done to let you know whether or not it worked. Thanks for all your help!

P-bass tone control makes almost no difference.

I dont really mind the fact that it is reversed to be honest, but the lack of tone versatility is what worries me. So then, what can I actually do to fix the issue? Just try a different type of pot? Change the wiring?

P-bass tone control makes almost no difference.

It seems as though the guy at the shop wired it just as it was wired before, as you can kind of see here: Also one thing i forgot to mention is that the way the pot works seems to be reversed. As in to cut the treble you have to go clockwise and to turn it up you have to go counter...

P-bass tone control makes almost no difference.

I just checked, the volume says B500K and the tone says A500K, any ideas of what else it could be?

P-bass tone control makes almost no difference.

Hello TB, I recently acquired a p-bass (not fender) for very cheap. Its an old instrument, from the 70s if I am not mistaken. I decided to take it to a local guitar shop (not the big national guitar store but the tiny local one where the guy knows what he's actually doing as he's been...

    Taking a bass onboard EasyJet?

I'd like to know too as I'm probably going to be travelling with Easy Jet some time next year and would like to be able to bring my bass with me :)

    Calling Hohner owners?

Here's a Marlin by Hohner P-Bass I got from a charity shop for £25. The original white pickguard got painted over in a rather regrettable black with white trimming and silver sparkle sort of deal so I replaced it with a nice black one. It went through a good clean/set up and now the thing sounds...
