i work for directv. the programming is good.

to be honest i don't think i'd accept a bass that had been shimmed either. that just tells me that the likelyhood of reaching a proper spec set up within the limits of the truss rod are minimal. so i'd send the thing back.

follow the links in the basic set up guide... they wont steer you wrong. if you don't have the tools or just dont want to find a good person who can help you...
