At that chain of pawn shops, the staff's hands are tied. You just need to let the price go down. The neck is bowed? I would not even bother.

I know, he is the one who turned me onto them the day I posted her investigating about that low-cost Peavey Foundation I found on Craig's something like 10 years ago. I have owned a T-40 and an RJ-IV, and still own the Foundation, plus one Patriot and one Fury. Edit: I also forgot to mention...

What wire gauge does he use? I intend to refresh my 83 Foundation. I was wondering what ohmage we should be able to read.

Talking about pickups, has anyone attempted rewinding them or having them rewound?

GC coupons...is it possible to buy anything you'd actually want with them?!

But JHS is. I actually like that dude's videos. (Who doesn't?) Any good JHS bass pedal?

If you were looking for a cheap bass what would you get?

Buy something you can try. Test the pots, make sure they are not scratchy. Make sure both pickups work. That the neck is not warped or has an expensive issue, like a bow or uneven fretting. Make sure the nut is in good shape. I also would look into Peavey basses. They are well built and...

Not sure what your background is and what size your hands are but you can't go wrong with a P Bass. A MIM or Squier version can be had for a couple Benjamins on Facebook marketplace or Craig's

USPS International Restricted Materials... A bass bridge.

I once shipped a gun part internationally and just wrote "hammer" on the box. It was indeed the hammer for a pistol. It made it ok. I would have written "guitar part" and basta.

    Mob wedding?!?!?!

You will be dealing mostly with nice people. I am not directly connected but I know people from this town who are or were (some have passed). I've heard all sorts of stories, the kind of stuff you could put in books or "mob" movies. And like others said, don't use that "m" word. Say "people who...

Why is the Hohner B2 more expensive than the Steinberger?!?

Sleeper thread. I just checked the current price of a B2A. WOW! Seller's market.

Basses heavier than 8 pounds are not for me

I decided it was too bizarre of a bass. I flipped it for twice the price I had bought it (this was post-08 crash and it was cheap gear galore, as you remember).

I should do my own setups from now on

I took a new Lakland to the local luthier everybody is raving about. He told me he would have to refret the entire neck because there was a "loop up". He meant taking a new Lakland, pulling out all the frets, working on the neck and refretting. A $300 job (then)! I learned to do my own setup...
