Are you in a band, or are you a waiter?

    This video makes me think

Get my focus on basics instead of how many notes I can cram in a measure. 5 string guys are not more complex than four string guys. In fact 5-strings are simpler to play allowing transposition by pattern without have to internalize the entire fingerboard. Four strings won't get you to...

WHY ARE WE STILL USING 1/4" JACKS!

"They suck! I know it! You know it!" Wrong. They work fine. Change for the sake of change is childish. what is your idea of an alternative? What are the benefits?

    Fretless unlined neck availability

I depends on the Fender body. Warmoth, nor anyone else that I have found, makes a fretted or fretless neck that fits the current American Jazz Bass Deluxe five-bolt 21 fret.

Try Link Removed. There are hundreds of free bass transcriptions of RnB, funk and soul songs. These include lines by: Donald ''Duck'' Dunn, Rocco Prestia, David Hood, Jerry Jemmott and Tommy Cogbill among others. I've been rejected twice lately, but everybody was really nice about it!

Needy? Wow. This may be the most wrong thing I have read on the entire internet. This is standard professionalism in any field. There are so many flakes and scumbags in the music biz, demonstrating that you know how to act like an adult, is huge. Any question of your neediness was dispelled...

    A case for every bass

I live in NYC. No hard cases for any of basses. No room for them. Two gig bags cover all eventualities.

So it's come to this...I got your 'yacht rock' right here...

Michedelic, Fair enough. I was mostly reacting to G-MonRV5, who wrote, "Guys, it's time to hang it up." I'll never understand those who believe that musicians should no longer be allowed to earn a living after a certain age. Along the same lines, I don't care for cover bands. I don't want to...

Why is this more pathetic than a Yes tour? They are playing shows, not running the shuffle-board games.

Do Stickers Make a Bass Trashy?

You do not have to do any of that. If your instrument is too expensive for you to play and treat as you please, then you spent more than you can afford. Instruments are tools, not investments. You should also maintain all your instruments regardless of price.

Help removing covers from 2013 N3 Noiseless Jazz pickups

I plan to make silicone rubber molds from the originals and cast plastic duplicates in a couple of different colors.
