the basPODxt live has lots of great efects that I use on a semi-regular basis. Sometimes a song needs a sort of pad sound and if the keyboard player isnt around, I'll turn some knobs and use thee volume pedal to swell some weird ethereal sounds in. Other times I may need a more distorted sound...

i run mine through an 810 cab and it rocks pretty hard. It's huge though, and I'm currently looking for something smaller that would sound as good(probably a neo cab, so I can carry it by myself)

I dont like Deans, but I think it has to do with my early impressions of them. I held one or two, and didn't like the feel. I think the biggest turn off was when I saw a guy playing one at an audition and he was using a Capo!! Yeah, that was probably it.

well, it was a gift, but I regret asking for my Takamine ABG, because I have no real use for it at all except when my amp is not around. Havent had any regrets on selling yet, but I'm sure I will in the future

I have a Takamine ABG that was 500 brand new. I'd probably sell it for around 300 so i guess a used one would be in your price range. It sounds pretty good, especially recorded, but i doubt that's what you want it for
