Your concerns are valid. Do not buy this bass. Looks like the VM P bass body with a MIM neck. I would pass.

I'd get it refinished in TV or Banana Yellow, but that's just me.

I'm playing some funky groove tunes and was looking at a few basses. Just came into some money and it's burning a big hole in my pocket lol. Around 400 bucks. I was looking at the Squier CV 51, but wanted to see if anyone knew of any decent quality off brand basses. Any recommendations?
