    Fender Bridge

Some say hi-mass bridges offer more sustain. Some say lo-mass (bent plate type) bridges offer more dynamics. In any case I would agree with @Turnaround – not much of a difference when the music is playing.

Official Darkglass Club: Welcome to the Darkside

I've just bought a B3K v2 and I'm loving the tones. One thing, and pardon if this has been covered, but the grunt button seems more than just a bottom end boost, but rather a massive boost in total volume. Is this how the button is supposed to work?

    That Ampeg sound

The SCR-DI will not replace a SVT-CL or any other stadium-class tube rig, of course. But the SCR is a very practical device and it is usable in many situations. As a stand alone DI, in front of a small class D rig, as a quality headphone amp. What it does, it does well, but it all depends on the...

An Ampeg SCR-DI pedal might be worth a try. Quite happy with mine

    Fender Pro Jazz Pickup Help

I could use some input on pickups for my American Pro Jazz. I play mostly finger style through an Ampeg preamp, SVT-style sound. Not overtly aggressive in sound, but with a certain amount of old school drive. I love the deep register of the factory installed V-mod pickups, the E and the A...

Best low cost choice for bass strings?

Based on your location, I would suggest you check out Thomann. Their home brand "Harley Benton" strings are decent quality and dirt cheap @ 5€: https://www.thomann.de/gb/harley_benton_valuestrings_bassguitar_medium.htm

    NBD: Steve Harris Sig P

Very nice neck on this one, I have it on a 70s frankenbass I've made. By no means a skinny neck, but very playable and solid sounding. And the big logo on the head is just beautiful. Enjoy!

REVIEW: Fender Precision Classic 60s Special (2015, MIJ)

I'm not an expert in these matters, but I say the stock PU is pretty decent. Sounds like a P. The SPB-1, however, is a cheap replacement that gives you a vintage flavour that suits the bass. This is why I went for it. The only thing that definitely needs an upgrade, IMO, is the tuners. Let me...

Help! Is this a geniune Fullerton reissue P?

@DavC You got a point. But it's too expensive being a 80s-to-90s bass in dire need of attention

Help! Is this a geniune Fullerton reissue P?

I have passed on this one. Don't think there has been any dishonesty from seller. The info on the bass has just been scarse and confusing. Probably because the bass itself, being a parts bass, do not have clear lineage. Again, thank you for your help and great knowledge on all things Fender :)

Help! Is this a geniune Fullerton reissue P?

Thanks guys, very useful information. The bass has been put up for sale as a 1982, but is not sold as "a Fullerton" and the price is quite a bit lower than a typical Fullterton. Still considering, but I may well pass on this. Update: Seller has posted info that neck is Corona. It's a parts...
