    Sorry but as a European,I can tell you it is more common on downy birch than silver (or common birch as we call it) Any ideas where I can find flame masur birch?

    I'm european,and masur birch is only the name of a texture which (nearly) can only occur on downy birch.

    As mentioned,he uses a "flamenco" style picking. He mainly uses his index finger and hitting the string pretty hard.(up-down alternating) Here's a link:

    Hi! I'm actually 13 (I'll be 14 in July) and started playing the bass on this christmas (2013). My main "inspirations" was Geddy Lee and Chris Wolstenholme.Now I'm learning from videos because I haven't find a teacher in my town yet.
