    "Going to My Hometown" by Rory Gallagher on Live in Europe is a good example of Gerry McAvoy IMO. It's just Rory, Gerry, and a drummer (Wilgar Campbell) doing it all on that tour.

    Hi Does anyone know who played the bass on the studio recording of "Sweet Caroline" by Neil Diamond? IMO the part is well constructed, very tasteful, 'just enough' for the song, simple, but with some interesting off-beat phrases.
