Did Leo improve with age? If so why aren’t G&L’s more popular .

I’ve been playing jazz flats on my Ibanez fretless acoustic for a couple of years, I just got a G&L. Jb2 tribute and put a set on it also, haven’t broken in yet and had to back off the truss rod a bit. Plays very sweet( I would have said like butter but I didn’t want to get the frett board greasy).

My new G&L jb2 is Leo.

So I just got a G&L jb2 tribute. I have been playing an acoustic fretless with aforementioned strings. The round wounds on the G&l are killing my fingers, I don’t want to mess up an expensive set of strings by trying them out w/o some advice, any help would be appreciated thx.

How bridge is wood?

I am building a hollow body kit, think Gretsch 5440. With the trapeze tailpiece and floating bridge is it nessessary to ground strings? The wiring diagrams for Gretsch 4 pot 2 pickup hollowbodies don't show one (I think).
