    Basses that disappointed you...

The MusicMan Stingray basses. It's sound. It's just... Not right for me. They sure are comfortable, though.

    List Your Bass Malfunctions!

I've had a few with different instruments, but stringed ones are always fun to remember. My 'first' bass and it's broken bridge from the store, the pickups dying on the P-Bass about the 6th day I had it, the input jack on ThunderCougarFalconBird, and the tuning head falling off my Ministar...

What did you do with your first bass?

I played it today! Well, kinda... My 'first' was an Epiphone Viola Bass that had a broken bridge when I bought it. Returned it for an Epiphone Thunderbird named ThunderCougarFalconBird. This bass is obnoxiously heavy, has a booming dark, deep sound, and is incredibly uncomfortable to play...

    Do you name your basses?

My Epiphone Thunderbird: ThunderCougarFalconBird. (She's beautiful.) :D My Fender Precision: It's between Guadalupe, Natalie, or Jennifer. (It's all thanks to The Killers.) My Hofner Icon: Lucy. (The Beatles, obviously. And a bet.) -_-

Your first bass vs. what you play now

My first bass was an Epiphone Viola Bass. (Because of my fascination with The Beatles.) After arriving home from Guitar Center, I noticed that the wooden bridge was cracked. So, went back, and traded it in for my "true" first bass, which is my ThunderCougarFalconBird. (An Epiphone...

    TBC club

My gosh... And those bass guitars seem so affordable, yet they look amazing! Are there any specific tones that truly show the bass' sound? I might actually pick one of these up for the school's band! (We have a Fender Precision that cannot be touched, so might as well take something, right?)
