Thanks Brent. I bought one from Musiciansfriend. Going to try it out and see how i like it. I heard some people actually use both at the sametime. I should find out in a few days.
I have the RBI and am reading up on the RPM, is there a big difference between the two preamps? If so, what is the big difference? I mean can you get the same tones out of the RPM from an RBI?
No. I didn't think that would be the right way of sending the signal. You would have too much settings to contend with and it would probably sound extremely raw.
thank you.
Just wanted to make sure before i do anything. I know i will lose the mute but i have a mute on my rackmount Korg tuner. So that will work.
thanks again
Trying to figure out which way is the right way.
If i want to use my GK 1001RB as a power amp, do i send the signal from the SansAmp RBI to the GK's effects return? Will this bypass the voicing filter and active equalization of the GK? which is what i am trying to accomplish.
Don't want to hijack the thread but same question.
My parts order from Rickenbacker just arrived and am in the process of updating my 86 to the current 4003 Rickenbacker with the push pull pot.
I am a little lost with the diagram. Not an electric engineer but am decent enough to do some...

Have a question to my fellow Rickenbacker owners. I got the itch to finally look what is behind my dials on my 1986 Rickenbacker 4003 bass. My intent was to look for the .0047 capacitor i have been reading about in this forum. The strange thing is i don't see it on my bass. I bought the bass...
First post. Just recently joined this forum when i was searching information on adjusting the neck on my Rickenbacker. Here is my collection.
Bought the Rickenbacker in the summer of 1986 for $780 new.
Bought the Fender Jazz in the fall of 1997 for $700 new.
Bought the Fender Precision...
More of a question on the GL bass.
Just joined this forum recently. Don't know why it took me so long to want to look for and join a bass forum. I have a GL bass also. It is pretty old now. I purchased it when it was first introduced in 96 or 97 i believe. I am also the original owner of...
